Ispirer SQLWays Toolkit is a set of tools designed to help migrate or modernize databases and applications. It consists of two programs: SQLWays Wizard and SQLWays Commander. The former is the core of the toolkit, capable of connecting to a database on a local or remote host via ODBC and extracting information for the conversion process, while the latter allows to convert single or multiple scripts simultaneously.

The tool provides high automation of the entire migration cycle and can migrate data, database schema, business logic and scripts between the leading and most legacy databases. It is also able to convert applications embedded in the source code, including Progress 4GL and Informix 4GL as well as COBOL, PL/SQL and Oracle Forms (the "SQLWays Studio" and "SQLWays Commander" tools that allow to convert individual scripts are bundled with the product).

SQLWays has no technical limitations in terms of the number of objects, lines of code or tables that can be migrated (this limit is set only by the licence as it's project-based), while its data conversion speed exceeds 20 GB per hour for large ERP / CRM databases. For faster data transfer it is possible to run up to (10 or more) instances of the SQLWays Commander tool at once, which can be configured to migrate different row subsets of each table.

Possibility of SQLWays customization is another important feature that allows to significantly improve the percentage of database and application code that can be migrated automatically. The developers of the software claim that they can customize the tool within 1-3 days upon receiving the sample scripts for testing purposes.
